Rotary Clubs from across the Southeast have been among L4L’s most dedicated school sponsors since the program’s earliest days.

Congregations from numerous states across multiple denominations provide both school sponsorships and ongoing annual support.

Individual families and groups of friends sponsor schools and students, often visiting Honduras to see the impact firsthand.

Small businesses and corporations contribute unrestricted operational support, giving L4L the flexibility to grow and reach more children.
Our Principals & Teachers
The principals and teachers in our sponsored schools are the on-the-ground heroes of the L4L program. They manage lunch distribution in addition to their teaching responsibilities and are deeply invested in the success of their students.
In rural schools where one teacher may serve all grade levels, students develop strong collaborative learning skills as the teacher moves between groups throughout the day. These teachers accomplish remarkable things through innovative use of limited resources. A four-year university degree is required to become certified as a teacher in Honduras, similar to the U.S. process.
Our Students & Communities
The students and their communities are the reason Lunches for Learning exists. The families and community members in the Valle District are proud, resilient people who work alongside L4L to ensure the program serves their children well. When a school joins the L4L program, attendance climbs and absenteeism drops to nearly zero, because families understand that education is the pathway out of poverty.
