48 Schools, 2,000 Children, One Mission
From One School to Forty-Eight
In 2004, Lunches for Learning provided its first meals to 84 children at Andrea Gonzales Elementary in El Amatillo, Honduras. Within weeks, attendance surpassed 100 and absenteeism dropped to nearly zero. Today, L4L provides daily lunches to over 2,000 children in 48 schools across the Nacaome and Goascoran municipalities of the Valle District.
Become a School Sponsor
School Sponsors make an annual giving commitment to a specific school. Your name, or that of your family, church, or organization, appears on a permanent banner at that school. You will receive correspondence from students and teachers throughout the year and are encouraged to travel with us to Honduras, especially for graduation in November.
